We were lucky enough to stay in Bordeaux 4th to 10th May and this was our local boulanger. Literally a 60 second walk. I went every morning for une baguette and two pastries viennoiserie.
Even with my basic French, I was greeted warmly and politely and with a warm smile. I was made to feel very welcome indeed.
The baguettes and pastries we got every day, we're some of the best I've had in all my years of coming to France.
Should you find yourself in Chatrons,Bordeaux, I would wholly recommend a visit to this lovely Boulangerie.- Service

Delicious bakery items. The almond croissant was the best I have ever tasted. Very friendly and helpful people who work there. Shame I only found it on my last day in Bordeaux!

Delicious pastries, I tried the almond croissant and the pain au raisin and both were fantastic. Keep in mind there is no seating.

On a testé du pain - Meule T80 - et un fondant au chocolat et la Chocolatine.
Le fondant au chocolat était très bon. Un bon goût chocolaté. Sucré mais pas trop. Coulant juste ce qu’il faut. Un gâteau 6 parts pour 10€.
Le pain à une belle croûte craquante et qui rebondit bien en même temps. La mie est assez aérée sans grosses d’alvéoles. Très bien pour tartiner du beurre ou autre chose. Un très bon goût. Pas le meilleur pain que j’ai goûté mais dans mon top5 des boulangeries que j’ai testé. Il reste tres agréable à manger pendant plusieurs jours et cela est très appréciable si vous n’êtes pas en capacité de manger une boule en un jour.
Leur chocolatine est certainement la meilleure des boulangeries environnantes. Tant du point de vue du goût que de la qualité du feuilleté (croustillant à souhait et fondant).
Je n’ai pas testé leur pâtisserie fine ni leur rolls pour lesquels ils semblent connus, peut-être prochainement.
Très bon accueil lors de notre deuxième passage.

We tried bread - Meule T80 - and a chocolate fondant and the Chocolatine. The chocolate fondant was very good. A lovely chocolatey flavor. Sweet but not too sweet. Just the right amount of runny. A 6-slice cake for €10. The bread has a lovely crispy crust that bounces back nicely. The crumb is quite airy without large holes. Very good for spreading butter or anything else. A very good taste. Not the best bread I've tasted, but in my top 5 bakeries I've tried. It stays very pleasant to eat for several days, which is very useful if you can't eat a loaf in one day. Their Chocolatine is certainly the best of the surrounding bakeries, both in terms of taste and the quality of the pastry (perfectly crispy and soft). I haven't tried their fine pastries or their rolls, for which they seem to be known, but perhaps soon. We received a very warm welcome on our second visit. La meilleure boulangerie du quartier sans exagérer! Les desserts sont délicieux, les viennoiseries sont au top aussi. La propriétaire est super sympa, ils travaillent avec des agriculteurs locaux. Je recommande vivement, tout ce que j’ai dégusté était excellent.

Superbe boulangerie artisanale. Sans doute la meilleure du quartier. La baguette est excellente. Le service y est agréable. Voilà un joli petit commerce.

Nous avons acheté des frangipanes pour nos festivités d'entreprise. Elles étaient véritablement succulentes, la qualité des ingrédients sautait aux yeux (si je puis dire), je conseille cette boulangerie sans aucune réserve, bien au contraire !

Please note, I'm only talking about the bread, having not tasted the pastries and pastries (except the galette des Rois, which was really excellent): well, it is very, very good, from the simplest baguette (finally crispy and a well-aerated interior!) to more "complex" breads. The latter are carefully prepared, with really different tastes depending on the variety, perfectly digestible (sourdough!). The smile and friendliness behind the counter do the rest.

Une boulangerie qui ne donne mine de rien de l'extérieur... Mais leur spécialité sont les pains, avec ou sans gluten. Une très belle variété avec une mention pour les pains à la farine de châtaigne 😍. En gourmandise, leurs rolls et croissants aux amandes sont incroyablements gourmands.
